With the launch of Paris Design Week 2021 (September 9-18) alongside organizer Maison&Objet’s annual trade fair (September 9-13), conversations on “revival” have assumed centrestage in the design world. The event’s theme this year is—rather befittingly—‘Desirable Development’, and it lends itself to infinite possibilities in the sphere that is evidently geared towards creating an accessible, sustainable and inclusive world, albeit modishly.

The 10-day-long event will host 385 participants from across the world, showcasing established and upcoming talents who promise to be pioneering innovators in the field of design. In keeping with their commitment to encourage young designers from across the world, the flagship Paris Design Week Factory—held from September 9 to 13—partnered with Galeries Joseph this year, to provide a launching pad for budding talent.
