Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh will get a riverfront along the Ganga river. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to come up with an action plan to build a grand riverfront along the Ganga river immediately, other than the expeditious implementation of Namami Gange.

The Chief Minister conducted a review meeting of Kanpur division on the status of the development works. There are as many as 30 mega projects with a cost of more than Rs 50 crore each in the division.

He also asked officials to speed up the Smart City projects as well as the Metro project in Kanpur. The CM directed officials to commence construction work on Kanpur Dehat Medical College.
